I have not posted on this blog in forever and honestly had forgotten about it.  Just wanted to post one final post as Emmy-N-Me will be no more.  Emmy passed away last October 12th.  My heart still breaks without her.  I've never been good at this blog thing, but wanted an update for all of y'all who followed me a long time ago.

In December of last year, when I was no where near ready to get another dog, one of our long time supporters of MHOL, passed away and his daughter knew I had just lost my boston and wanted to know if I would take Minnie, who is 9.  She went everywhere with him for 5 years.  He was her world. She was a rescue from the Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue and was stuck in a cage for the first 3 years of her life.  Her story broke my heart more and I couldn't say no, who knew, maybe we could heal together and that is what we have been doing.  Here are some pics of her from when I first got her. She's itty bitty.

Lil Baylee's First Outing

We have nicknamed Carmel's new baby colt Lil Baylee! Today was his first day to be able to go out into the pasture. He had a blast! Wanted to share some photos with you:

Up next is Bambi! This will be her first baby! We can not wait to see what her baby will look like! We are praying for a filly (a little girl) with some black on her somewhere! It's a wait and see game right now as she's due anytime between now and the mid to end part of June!

Carmel had her baby!

After a long labor, Carmel finally had a baby boy on April 27th at 8:47pm. He was 27lbs and 23 inches! He is such a beautiful little colt!

And this is a picture of Carmel's foal from last year that I bought from Mom and Dad. His name is Copper. We weren't the only ones who had messed up sleep patterns. This was taken the night of the new colt's birth and Copper just wanted to sleep! He was laying down the whole time!

Memory Lane

As my 15 year high school reunion is fast approaching (July 11th), I have been browsing old photos reminiscing about a time in my life that seems forever ago. I found some photos of myself from a weekend modeling job and I am using them as inspiration in my ongoing battle with weight. For those of you who REALLY know me, you know I HATE any picture taken of me, but wait for it ........... I actually like these ;-) Therefore, I wanted to share these with those of you who didn't know me back then and show you that I haven't always been a camera shy person :-)

I'm keeping Little Bit!!

I'm so sorry it's been a while! I'm still getting use to having this blog thing ;-) I just wanted all to know that I have decided to keep Little Bit (he's now 3 1/2 weeks old)!!! He is absolutely a beautiful little colt. I was a little leary about keeping him as he is a boy and I wasn't sure how I would feel about that as I've always envisioned myself with a filly ;-) He is just to much of a great horse to pass on though!! He's MY very first purchase of a miniature horse :-) Depending on how everything goes and what he likes, our neighbor's little girl, Abbie, and/or my parents will be showing him in something ;-) I'll be behind the scenes!! It has been a really exciting time! I'm looking forward to bonding more with him and learning the ropes of training these little ones so I can get more!!
